Just keeping it real...

Well, we are almost 38 weeks and I am feeling oh so ready. To be honest I am not uncomfortable and not sitting watching the clock tick. Carsyn keeps us incredibly busy and entertained so really no time for all of that. I am just ready to meet my little guy and start this next stage of life. My house and kitchen were perfectly clean about a week ago but now I am staring at a filthy kitchen, a living room with a trail of saltine crackers from the couch all the way back to Carsyn's room (whose could they be?!) and loads and loads of toys thrown around. All results of life with a two year old, no dishwasher and a very pregnant mama.

I am so ready for my mom to be here! She told me today that I couldn't have him yet because I hadn't had my burst of energy to clean. Really, i've had it, but nothing stays clean so I am throwing in the towel.

Today I had one of those moments that I just had to blog. Any lady out there that has ever had a baby or even been to the OB for that matter can relate. Rewind about 7 months to our first doctors appointment for Cruz. You know the internal sonogram appointment where they confirm that you are indeed pregnant. Well, I was all out giddy at this appointment. Drew and I had gone back and forth for months about getting pregnant and we could never come to the conclusion of when a good time would be. Of course, how it always happens the Lord took the reigns and decided when we needed to be pregnant.

Anyways, I was so excited to have another little one and for Carsyn to be a big sister I could hardly stand it. When we went into the room the nurse handed me a pink rectangle/square like piece of paper. I am sure she said "bottoms off" like she does now but I guess that went in one ear and out the other. So I excitedly go into the very tiny nook and I come out with more than just bottoms off with this square/rectangle thing around me. Drew looks at me and just BURST into laughter and asks, WHY ARE YOU FULLY UNCLOTHED?!?! Immediately I realize what I've done turn purple/red and run back in to put on my top before the doctor comes in. I guess I was just so excited about seeing the doctor!

Today I was in that same room, trying so desperately to get my boots and jeans off to put that square/rectangle thing around me. At this point in my pregnancy it most definitely does not fit around my body (am I alone in this???, anyone, please?!?!) and I hear the doctor coming in and immediately Carsyn pulls back the curtain and asks her usual, Mommy, what cha doing?!? Ohhh you know, just GETTING DRESSEd... but really seriously, what is he going to see that he hasn't seen before but oh my goodness I was so embarrassed.

I really do love going to the OB (when I am pregnant) I mean, who wouldn't. It's the only time that its all about You and you just feel pampered almost. Although a visit to the spa or a massage would be nice...

Sorry for the random story but I just had to share.

Anyways, this is probably my last post on this blog because I am just finishing up designing my new blog!! Woohoo! I finally got a professional blog... trust me... it was time! I will post a link to it when it is all ready for its reveal!

Thanksgiving 2010

Happy Thanksgiving Everyone!!

My wonderful brother and sister gave up their normal Thanksgiving Tradition and flew out to see me and my little family! My brother and I cooked a full on Thanksgiving Meal (of course I forgot to take photos) BUT I did get some great photo memories of the two of them with my little princess!!

We are 34 weeks pregnant which means baby boy Cruz could be here anytime within the next 6 weeks! We actually are being induced in 5 weeks sooo he will be here soon!! I really should blog more! Maybe I will start when baby boy gets here and work slows down... yeah right!

29 weeks... WHAT??

An I Phone Update...
I haven't pulled my real camera out lately to take photos of our life but I DO have several I Phone Photos! So, I thought I would do a little update just incase anyone still reads this blog ;)

We have been busy busy busy wrapping up our 2010 weddings, shooting tons of Holiday Photos and meeting with brides for the 2011 season!! Lots of things to get in order before I take off 3 months to have our little boy!! Anyways, here is an update in photos...

My parents came out for a week and we had so much fun!! Carsyn wanted to wear glasses like my dad (and those are definitely 3D glasses)

Carsyn and I went to Trader's the other day to buy some yogurt and we stumbled upon all of this Fall Cuteness!! This is about the full extent that I have decorated this Fall Season ;0)
I have an obsession with little girl shoes lately!! I got my TOMS email today and almost fainted when I saw these!! I am justifying buying them since her Birthday just passed!

It's been raining lately and Carsyn came running into the kitchen tonight telling me she was ready to go outside!
WOOOAAA!! That's my 29 week belly! I cannot believe we are 10 weeks out!! My doctor said he would induce on December 31st if he hasn't come yet!! But, he is a big ol' boy so we shall see!

My mom was in for a few nights before my dad got here so Drew and I took advantage of a free baby sitter and went on a date! Wow, sorry I didn't fix my hair or put on make-up babe ;) love you
I was nominated to compete in a Best of the Bay Photographers competition for our county so this is me going to my presentation!! Not my thing at all but I definitely enjoyed it!!!

Ok, I think that's it!! Maybe I will update again before Cruz gets here!

Vacation In Texas!!

I took a week off to visit my family and to photograph one of my best friends wedding. (so really I guess i didn't take the week off, haha, but it has been nice)
But we are enjoying this time with my family since we wont get to come visit again until MARCH when there are 4 of us!!! Crazy!!

We are soooooo soooo excited! Not sure if you can see the joy in Drew's face. We feel so lucky to get to experience one of each!!

Cruz Nathaniel should be joining us shortly after the New Year! We cannot wait to meet his sweet face!!!

Almost 18 weeks!

Where do I begin!? It's bee a crazy 6 weeks! Photographing a wedding every weekend, lots of fun engagement and family shoots, Drew busy with class, being super super sick... you get the picture. Sorry I haven't been blogging! I still keep up with everyones blog, but the energy it takes me to sit down and actually write a personal blog about what we are doing... well that energy just doesn't exist!

I am enjoying the bliss of feeling well in the 2nd tri-mester so I really can't complain when it comes to the pregnancy. We have our big ultra sound on Thursday but we are going to wait to find out what we are having until the 11th. One of my best friends, Stacy, is going to bake a cake with either pink or blue in the middle and we are going to cut in with all of our friends! It should be a fun and special evening!! Last night when we were driving home from Church Drew looked @ me in all seriousness and said, I wonder what blue icing will taste like?!?! I busted into laughter and told him, 1st of all she will probably just use food dye and 2nd WHAT IF IT IS A GIRL!!!! Obviously Drew has his heart set on a little boy.

Here is my most recent post of all 4 of us! Drew and I were heading out the door to shoot a wedding this Saturday, and we actually looked moderately nice so we snapped a pic! Thanks Sara for watching C all day and for the fabulous photo!! I've decided that dresses are the way to go this pregnancy. No need to embarrass anyone with my growing behind :)

Carsyn is growing up so fast! She will be 2 in 2 months and Drew and I honestly can not believe it. I feel like it was just yesterday that we were welcoming our baby girl into the world!

She has change so much in the past few months. Here a few of the fun things she does!

-She is 85% potty trained. I honestly don't know how to rate that. We have about 4 accidents a week. Usually when she is outside playing or we push her to long in the car. But for the most part the girl is rocking potty training. The hardest part about potty training at this age is helping them UP AND DOWN from the potty and assisting them with their pants. We started out using the small potty but after dumping and cleaning that thing more times than I would like to count we went to the soft little seat you put on top of the big potty. I love that thing and I bring it everywhere ;)

-She is a little chatter box and a sponge. Drew and I were talking the other night about how crazy it is that we always know what she needs because she simply tells us, I love it! But the girl is a sponge too! I have a horrible habit of saying OH GOSH!! annnd so does Carsyn. We are working on that. My favorite is her Hey Girl... sounds more like Hey Grilll!! So funny!!

-She knows that we are having another baby and loves to just hug and kiss my belly all the time. We are both sleep monsters and when Drew leaves for work in the AM he usually brings her to bed with me. We lay there for at least an hour sleeping, chatting, snuggling and I just love it. I love my mornings with my baby girl and I am soooo glad that she doesn't exactly love mornings, just like her mama.

-A HUGE bummer is that she is not only allergic to eggs, but also peanuts :( We knew it was a possibility especially with the egg allergy but we hoped she wasn't. Anyways, we are having some tests run around her 2nd birthday to see what we need to do and how extreme we need to be with avoiding them. :(

That's all for now, I should be working, Drew has Carsyn @ the park! Here are a few photos I tried to take of her today. Hilarious how horrible this little photo shoot went... she is SO NOT INTO the camera right now. Oh well, :( Crazy how different than the post bellow.

Whew!

It's been a while since I have blogged on this site! For those of you who are still reading, thanks!! It's been a crazy few months since March when we kicked off wedding season! If you aren't keeping up with my photo blog you can check out all of the fun weddings we have been shooting, HERE.
Right after we found out we were pregnant we hit the ground running shooting weddings every weekend and I haven't had time to look up since. I am soooo enjoying shooting weddings. I just wish I felt better. My pregnancy has been super similar as far as Carsyn's when it comes to being totally lethargic and nauseous. But I smartened up this time and got on Zofran to help with being sick. It takes the edge off but there are still days that nothing stays down.
Poor little Carsyn stands at the door and says... "Mommy, ho K? ho K?" Meaning, are you okay? I feel so horrible that she has to hear me be sick, but what else can I do I guess?
We have had help/ visitors living/staying with us since mid May, but tomorrow is our last day. My wonderful friend Lindsay came out for a week then my sister flew in the day she left to spend the summer with us as our live in baby sitter! But that idea quickly changed when she immediately started feeling bad. After 3 weeks of her sleeping day in and day out I called my mom and flew her out to check on her. The verdict, MONO!! I kinda freaked out because we had not been careful with drinking after each other or Carsyn. I've prayed and prayed against Carsyn and I getting it, and thankfully so far we haven't. I pray that we don't! But my mom stayed in her place to help me wrap up a few more weddings and she flies home Tuesday morning. I will definitely miss the love, support and help. What would we do without family, seriously? I love my mama.

I have a doctors appointment tomorrow,we are so excited to hear the baby's (just one!! though I feel big enough for there to be 2!!) heart beat!

Big Sis!!

Big News!! Little Miss Carsyn is gonna be a big sis!!
We took these about a month ago and have been waiting to share our news until we went to the doctor to make it official!! Anyways, we are sooooo excited for our baby girl to become a big sister!! We know she is going to be such a good helper and awesome at it!! ANNNND US... we just hope we are great at being parents to TWO!! Woo... two! Wow!!

Leaving on a Jet Plane...

Some of our best friends are moving to Hawaii in a few short months and we are so sad. Yesterday I had little Aubrey and we were just goofing off taking photos. How precious is Aubrey's face?? I just want to squeeze her!! We are going to miss you guys, but mostly Carsyn is going to miss her Aubeeee :..( you guys are going to have to tell her, I am not breaking the news.

Carsyn seemed so grown up to me today. She had her hair pulled back and I felt like I kept seeing me in her. So, I did what any mama/photographer would do. I grabbed my camera and captured some photos of her sweet spirit and beautiful face.
