Caught Up...

Ahhh... I finally feel like I can breath. Drew and I have been going going going since the beginning of May with one thing after another. I have had so many fun blog ideas but have not had a moment to sit down and write.

During the month of May Drew Graduated with his M. Div. (his first Degree from Seminary.) He will be starting the THM Program in the Fall. I am so excited for him. His schedule will be more flex and he will have more time to read and write instead of sitting in the classroom. He will only be in class once a month which will be great as well!

Also during the month of May Carsyn became a speed racer and now I never get to sit down. She is constantly on my tail, following me from room to room at the speed of light. Her and Drew will be playing in the living room and I will sneak back to our room for a little R&R and before I know it she's banging on the door. We love it, but WHEW life has changed. No more time for dishes, blogging showering, teeth brushing, you know, all the normal daily tasks.

In June I officially lost my job. I have been on the hunt for a new job but no doors are opening right now. This economy is so rough. Times are tough, but somehow, we are making it. The Lord is good and continues to provide for our daily needs.

I also had the opportunity to shoot my first wedding! It was a blast! Here is the full link to the photos... there are a lot, beware! I would love anyones advice or tips on them! Everyone needs a little constructive criticism in their life, right honey??

AND finally today. We are cleaning and packing for our trip to OKLAHOOOOOOMA! We are so pumped! We are hoping to spend some great time with Drew's brother Ross. He is doing awesome by the way! Walking with a cain!

40 Day Fast-Day 3

So I have been contemplating this for a while but 3 days ago I finally decided to go for it!

I have decided to cut caffeine and processed sugar from my life. Not for the purpose of losing weight but for the purpose of feeling better. I have been super tired lately (probably because I stay up until 11:00 every night doing who knows what) and the other reason being I am a JUNK FOOD JUNKY.

I love sugar. I mean, I love love Sugar. It is my favorite. If you come to my house you know that there will be fresh baked brownies or cookies any day. I give my Dad full credit for that sugar addiction.

I do not drink a lot of caffeine, one cup of STRONG coffee a day, but I know I could cut it out.

Project 52 Week 8 + A Day at the Park with friends!

How cute is this picture!! Drew and I worked on the pose for a while and finally got this! I was so proud! She loves her daddy so much!


This photo is for Liz! I know you are making a silly face but it was my favorite!! Look how cute that little boy is! Tucker is just about 5 months younger then Carsyn. Liz got pregnant when I was, well 4 months preg with C, and I almost pee'd in my pants when she told me!! And here he is!! 3 months old! I can't believe it!

Tucker had an amazing blow out while I was holding him at the park. I could hear something happening and I knew it sneaked out... when I held him up he had a great surprise for me!! (and later found its way to Josh's sleeve... seen here!!)

Heading to Oklahoma-Anyone need a Photo Shoot!?

Hey friends!! Drew and I have decided to drive to Edmond at the end of June to visit his brother Ross, remember his story here.

Anyways, he is doing really awesome (walking with a CAIN!!) so we want to go visit him!!

We will be there June 28-July 4th (excluding the 29th for me I will be in Texas. So I wanted to see if anyone needed a photo shoot!

I normally charge $135 for the shoot plus disk BUT I will just charge a flat $100 for a shoot and disk since I love Oklahoma and my friends there so much.

Project 52 Week 7 + Girls Night!

Look at my pretty little girl!! Now that we are weaned (well for the most part) I am FREE! I feel like shouting it from the roof tops, I AM FREE!! Haha!! It is so nice. Woooo!! Anyways, I can be away from her for longer than 4 hours and it not be a terrible thing. Do not get me wrong, I love my baby girl oh so much and I loved breast feeding... but it was just time. Amen.

Anyways, I got to go out the other night with these lovely girls and it was so refreshing. I love each one of these girls, and they all play such special roles in my life. Dawn, thanks for being my encourager SLASH GET YOURSELF TOGETHER friend. Lindsay, thanks for always always ALWAYS making me laugh. Emily, thank you for being just like me but OH SO different from me as well.
You are all wonderful.

Midnight Poops, and Pig Tails...

Lets start with something fun!! Carsyn's hair finally fits in pig tails!! I started freaking out when I realized it and then explained to her that she will be wearing her hair in pig tails for the next 4 years. See the cuteness below...

See?? I can't even handle it!!

So here is a question for all of you mamas out there. What do you do when your kid poops in the middle of the night, but never wakes UP?? I am serious. On a consistent basis Carsyn makes a big time stinker and Drew is always telling me about it. He will go in to check on her and get hit with a terrible stanch. I feel so bad because she could sleep like six more hours and never wake up. Last night I had to get her up and change her, but that resulted in an hour long fight to try to get her back down. Soooo do I let her sit in her stinky poo and probably get a little rash on her toosh or do I wake her up and change her and then spend an hour battling to get her back down!? Am I the only one going through this?

Am I the only crazy mama out there?!

Star Struck!!

Soo today Drew and I ventured to our small downtown to grab a cup of Joe and enjoy the beautiful day. I ended up getting Gelato and Drew got his usual black cup of coffee.

There were tons of little kids playing in the park so we thought it would be fun to take Carsyn over to play. We visited with a few people and then this sweet lady and little boy sat down next to us. knew the little boy was Carsyns age and the mom started talking to me and her. We talked about how old they were (one month apart to the day) we told our birth stories, talked about nursing, her little boy already had 8 teeth (Carsyn still 0), she told me about his cool shoes (IsaBooties) and some baby snacks with out sugar. (HappyBaby.com) Needless to say, we talked for a long time and I still had NO IDEA I was talking to anyone famous.

Her friends (pictured with her above) returned and we visited with them for awhile and decided to go home for dinner. We said our goodbyes and on the way to the car I was like, I KNOW HER!! Drew was like, Whhaat are you talking about? I proceeded to explain that I knew her Jaw Line! haha. Again, Drew said what are you talking about sweetie. I was like, SHE'S FAMOUS!! I KNOW IT!

When we got home I bolted to the computer and simply typed in celeb BABY HENRY!! and guess who popped up?? Sure enough, baby Henry and the sweet lady I just chatted with...


MINNIE DRIVER!!!



How did I not know???
So funny. Maybe I should watch more movies and know my stars better. haha!

Carsyn has learned to pull up on things and it makes me so nervous. She wants to stand and pull up on stuff 24/7. Yesterday morning I found her standing in her crib. What am I going to do?!?
