Well, last night I did it. I pump a bottle, filled Carsyn's belly with milk, bundled her up and left her with a friend while I took a little adventure. I have been itching to get back to the gym and work off these extra pounds and I needed a jump start.
I finally found some work out shorts that covered my large booty (this is what needs to be worked off) thru my dirty hair into a pony tail and brushed my teeth for the first time that day at 5:00 p.m. (sorry, sometimes it's just not the first thing on my list when Carsyn is screaming and starving.)
I walk into the Gym and immediately realize that I am not in as good of shape as I was 9 months ago. The gym is surrounded with mirrors and I notice that I desperately need a tan and that my roots are begging to be bleached and my hips and booty... well thats why I was there.
I bolt to the class where TKB is about to begin and I find my spot in the back corner. My friend Pam, a L&D nurse met me there and she gave me a pep talk to begin. GOOD thing she did. She reminded me that I did have a baby just one short month ago and that I probably shouldn't even be in this class and to take it easy. Sloan, my favorite instructor ever, (besides good ol' Paige at OBU, Leslie, Kelsey give a shout out to Aerobics) was teaching the class. She is your typical instructor, tall, thin, blonde, not an inch of fat on her body, and acts as if she snorted speed on the way in. My kind of girl!
Sooo class begins and I QUICKLY realize that this is not where I need to be. I should probably be back at home sitting on my couch or maybe on the glide machine at level 1 for 3 minutes. TKB... not so much. I did my best to stay on beat the whole class with one quick trip to the bathroom to make sure my insides hadn't fallen out. One our later class finished and I was ready to hit the door.
I felt accomplished! I did it. My kicks were not as high as everyone else's. Maybe I didn't sweat as much as others... but I am giving myself huge props!
Hopefully next week will be much much better.

It's Raining... It's pouring...
Norther California has a rainy season. A sad depressing rainy season. It rains for months and never lets up... Well I guess today is the beginning. Having a newborn and traveling in the rain is not the easiest. I remember last year during the rainy season I bought rain boots and a jacket to match and I jumped in puddles all day. But jumping in puddles with a car-seat in one arm and a diaper bag in the other isn't easy.
Martha and Pash are in the city and Carsyn and I are spending a nice afternoon at home. I am trying to finish her birth announcements, which I chose to hand make, but it is not working. For some reason my computer will not print any job I send it. It keeps giving me the symbols and random letters when it prints. I give up. Husband please come home and fix this.
Maybe we will make cookies instead.
Halloween pictures to come!

6.5 HOURS
Last night Carsyn went six and a half hours between feedings and I was forever grateful. Thanks girl!! Today was a very interesting day, to say the least. We had our first projectile vomiting experience and I was scared to death. I thought that she was sick. Then Carsyn was napping and Pash and I were just staring at her because she was kind of smiling. Then she did this weird laughing thing and her eyes were kinda doing that rolling in the back of their head newborn thing and I thought she was having a SEIZURE! I freaked out and about shook her to wake her up. What a bad mom. Anyways, she is PERFECTLY fine... I am just a bit crazy.
Today was rainy and gloomy in Northern California. So Pash and I spent most of our day locked in doors with the kiddos. Martha is joining us tomorrow for our roommate reunion and I CANNOT wait. The three of us trouble makers together again could be a bad thing (poor Drew). I love spending time with the two of them. We are all completely different but have lots of fun together. Yea for Howard ONE!!!!
I got a new lens the other day and it is amazing. It is a set lens (50 mm) with a 1.8 aperture. LOTS of fun. Drew has used it more then me, just because I haven't had lots of time between my crazy feeding schedule with this girl. The only thing he takes pictures of though are Carsyns little face. Tonight he wanted to take her to class for Show And Tell. Ehhhmm... I looked at him like, "OH! Is tonight Show and Tell??" I don't know why I thought he was being serious. Anyways... they are precious together. I will have to snap some pictures of them together.
Anyways, here we are tonight... hanging out waiting for Dad to get home from the library... Home girl has a little bit of gas so she is laying here grunting away. Please notice how she is kissing me back... Really she just thinks it's food but hey I LOVE IT!!
Night!

Lame O Blogger...
So I know that SOOO many people follow my blog (NOT) but I feel an obligation to update this thing. I have not "for real" updated in a while... and I apologize to my three faithful readers. (probably my mom, sister and Pash, ha)
Anyways, I wish I had tons of things to write about being a mommy but Carsyn has made my life pretty simple. For example here she is right now...

Laying peacefully in her little boppy (she thinks I am holding her) and I am sitting here quietly catching up on things.

Sorry about the sleepy eyes and they unbrushed hair... though life is FAIRLY easy with Carsyn I am still a mommy and don't get to shower often, my hair is not always brushed, make up is usually not an option, and if I have a shirt on without spit up on it then IT'S A GOOD DAY!!
Drew has been busy with school and work but we try to spend time together when we can. Last night we watched the first episode for Season 4 Office and it was amazing. We are a season behind and just started ordering it on Netlfex (which is amazing by the way).
The Office is too funny. I love how they were dating and keeping it a secret. Drew and I tried to do that our Senior year of college. We wanted to make it out the doors with out anyone knowing (because of silly small school drama) but it didn't happen. My roommates spread the word for us (thanks girls). That is another story in and of itself, I should tell that sometime, you will have a great laugh!!
On another note when you are pregnant and apparently AFTER you are pregnant you have CRAZY dreams. Let me preface this dream. (guy readers may not want to read this). So in the hospital after having a child they give you these GORGEOUS panties to wear. They are basically made of mesh and they are just beautiful. So last night in my dream I was wearing my gorgeous mesh panties and showing everyone???? I don't know why or what my problem was but I was totally embarrassed when I woke up, hoping that it was a dream. (i believe it was).
Ehhmmm sorry maybe I should not have shared that story.
Well, I am off to clean up a bit and maybe join this peaceful girl in a nap! Pash and Gabe are coming today... how exciting!!
P.S. Carsyn Snores.

new bow!!
So Carsyn has a LOT of hair! I mean a lot! And it just happens to stand straight up... literally like a troll. I of course think it is precious but I love other peoples reactions! They are like "OH!! Her hair!!" haha! It's really cute though and the poor girl can't help it!! After she takes a bath I try to brush it down but it refuses. ha! So I have been on the hunt to find a bow that will look well on her little head and wont hurt her. Yesterday I found the perfect bow!! BUT it cost $8.50!! Are you kidding me??? Are you noticing how tiny that thing is? To say the least I am going to take up bow making instead of spending a small fortune on bows. I did have to buy just one for an example though!!
So here we are! All ready to go on a walk!!

AFTER doing more research I am even a bigger brat. I want this now...

isn't is beautiful???
The Mark II 5D... this camera is bad booty but it is $$$$ and it doesn't ship until December so I can suppress my dreams for the moment.
Seeing that we did just have a child and I am not working it is probably not going to happen for months... maybe years. BUT a girl can dream right???
